Ta Van - Sapa Hike

A day hike from Ta Van to the Sapa hill station town, a popular tourist spot for both Vietnamese and foreign tourists. Over six hours the hike took us through rice paddies - muddy slippery rice paddies - bamboo forests, and the Cat Cat traditional village.

Our guide walked briskly wearing an unmissable purple jacket, strong high rubber boots, and carrying an umbrella. We were wearing low-cut hiking shoes. She was better dressed for the deep mud.
