Sapa

The French established Sap as a hill station to escape the summer Hanoi heat. In late winter, more often than not, Sapa is thick with cloud and mist shed by the 300m Fansipan mountain looming behind it. By neon-lit misty night it is mysterious and eerie. Under sunshine, it is bright and brash.
