Nagarkot - easily reachable from Kathmandu but far enough to be out of the noise, crowding, and pollution. At 2300m, the Everest Manla Resort provided a serene base to watch sunrises, take forest walks, and work in the afternoon when the sun set behind the hill at 2:40pm.
